Bath & Body Works Hand Soaps


Dear Lazeena,

The gelatin used in our products is derived from general fish stock - they are not caught solely for the harvesting of gelatin. The gelatin is taken from fish that are being used for food purposes.

I guess this goes for gelatin found in any other BBW's line of products because she didn't specify the Anti-Bacterial Hand Washes (which I inquired about)... rather, she said 'our products'. Allah knows best!

    WOOHOO - I love Bath and Body works! Their scents are absolutely amazing :D ... Glad they are halal!

    One question - if these things have alcohol in them, like most hand sanitizers do, do we use them? And you don't have to say "it's halal" or "it's haram," but rather I want to know if the general consensus is to stay away from soaps/shampoos/lotions that contain alcohol. I know if there's animal enzymes, its not good, but what about alcohol?

    What about their lotions? Are all of them halal? If not.. can you please list the ones that are halal or the haram ingredients that Bath & Body Works uses in their lotions? Please response..?? I need to know!

    something may not have animal ingredients but be sure that they also dont have petroleum products, as these sit on a layer on the skin and have to be removed in order to do wudu

    I was very concerned about the hand soaps that I just bought and noticed (at 630am!) that they contain gelatin. Then I saw your post and alhamdulillah you have washed away my concerns :) Thank you so much sis :)

      Same i always curious about this. Including the "sparkling" lines. Isnt it process same as wine? I love a thousand wish but it contains sparkling or something im not sure T_T
