Jergen's Lotion

Lazeena:

We are always pleased to hear from our consumers and your comments are very important to us.

For Jergens, our Naturals Renew, Naturals Hydrate and Naturals Refresh are free of animal derived ingredients

However, for our other products, we cannot guarantee the lack of animal derived ingredients because we use multiple suppliers for a variety of our materials who can change sources at any time due to market conditions.

Thank you for the opportunity to be of service.

Cordially,

Kao Brands Consumer Relations Dept.
Ban Biore Curel Jergens John Frieda

So from the Jergen's Natural's collection of Lotions, 3 of the 4 are okay - Natural Soothes are NOT. Aside from the Natural Collection, they also have a Soften, Smooth, Enhance, Nourish and Preserve collection of lotions which all seem to have animal bi-products.

The links are provided for the different collections, so if you use Jergen's you can double check and compare the bottle image on the site to the one you have to be sure if you're using an okay one or not.

Asalaam walikum sister, can you do a response for crest toothpaste? It would be greatly appreciated :). It has glycerin in it but not sure if it is vegetable base or animal.

Assalam alaikum. I just discovered recently that a lot of cosmetic products contain haram ingredints. .. turns out most of my favourite beauty products contain one haram ingredient or the other. I started using jergens lotions 4 years ago(ultra healing, age defying, originals and recently naturals soothe)and I never thought of checking the halal status of the ingredients. I feel awful just thinking of all the najasa I've been rubbing on my body..i just wanted to point out that just bcos a product is free from animal derivatives doesn't mean it is halal. Jergens naturals renew contains grapeseed extract and refresh contains rosemary extract. Alcohol is often used as a solvent in obtaining this extracts and many others.do you know if the ingredients in the naturals skincare line are completely devoid of alcohol even if it is a trace amount? I know that alcohol is not considered najis by some scholars but personally, I think it is better to be cautious of doubtful things. Also, do you know if the body shop body butters are halal? Jazakumllahu khairan.

This a reply from jergen regarding their use of Alcohol in the lotion.

Hello Tahmina;

We are always pleased to hear from our consumers and your comments are very important to us.

Although our products contain several different types of alcohol, each of these is very different from rubbing alcohol, with which we are all familiar. Thus, the alcohol in our products does not create a drying effect.

The alcohol used in our products is a fast evaporating component used to give the fragrance more lift. When it evaporates, just as the water does, skin softening moisturizers are left behind that prevent it from drying out. When alcohol is used alone or without the specially blended moisturizers found in our Lotions, alcohol can be drying.

Thank you for contacting us with your concerns. We look forward to your continued interest in our products.

Sincerely,

Consumer Care Center

The Wrinkles and the skin droopiness are characteristic and can be managed once you know how to pick the correct skin sort item. One of the way outs is to believe the surveys done by the famous dermatologists and open figures, who have resisted the maturing signs themselves. Best Wrinkle Cream
